Two most amazing words – Week 8

It’s the truest joy in the world to have to repeat the same report week to week. She’s on track, solid on her blood work and the belle of the ball each Monday at the vet’s office.

We are beyond thrilled by this week to week. Each day, each hour is a gift.

This week, we were gifted two little words that mean the world:

In remission.

Wow. So grateful.

Remission means that the cancer is no longer growing, but we’ll continue the treatments to ensure it is under control.

This week, she is on the oral dose of chemo drugs, which is always fairly intimidating because it requires using gloves to feed to her. It’s another reminder of how resilient this dog is, to put so many chemicals in her and have her still keep the same swagger each day.
